Next to the globally renowned VIV worldwide series of events, new agri-food horizons are being explored by VNU Europe and need to be marketed as well. Your new environment
You work in a global, multicultural, dynamic team at an open space office, located very close to the Utrecht historical center, between the Utrecht Central station and the Jaarbeurs Exhibition Center. You travel the world a few times per year. Together with the VIV team, you ensure the best brand and event experience for visitors and exhibitors. You are part of in the VNU team and you work closely together with the VIV Senior Brand & Communication manager. In Utrecht, you are part of the VIV project team of 12 colleagues with whom you coordinate your marketing & communication activities. The department works closely with an established network of freelancers. You are also connecting and collaborating with the other two departments of the VNU offices located in Bangkok and in Shanghai.

This is what you like to do
The Brand Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for realizing the right numbers and quality of visitors for our B2B events. Together with the Senior Brand & Communication Manager you are responsible for the positioning of the brand development and appearance and for a seamless customer journey. In addition, you support your sales colleagues with bringing in marketing qualified leads to support the commercial result both offline and online. You do this by deploying retention and acquisition activities towards potential exhibitors and visitors. Within the multidisciplinary team you monitor, optimize and coordinate marketing activities (paid, owned, shared/earned, online and offline and PR/press) and manage the assigned marketing budgets. In addition, together with the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you ensure that sales material is available and off- and online campaigning is carried out for both retention and acquisition for exhibitors and visitors.

You are the marketing expert together with the Senior Brand Marketing Manager within the event team. This team, managed by a Senior Project Manager, is tasked with successfully organizing and realizing an event. You discuss with the Senior Project Manager and the Senior Brand Marketing Manager about the event proposition, target groups and personas. Together with the Senior Brand Marketing Manager you set the targeted visitor numbers and this is your primary KPI. Derived KPI’s include number of registrations, digital adoption, database growth, community development but also brand-related KPIs such as image, brand appreciation and awareness.

What are you bringing?
With your smart and enthousiastic approach to website, email database marketing, google and social media campaigns, you will attract the correct target profiles to our events through the best channels. As a data-driven marketeer you create campaign flows that deliver. You will also develop and nurture the 365 online community.

  • Whether it's show registrations, lead generation, branding or engagement, you work for multiple B2B event titles of the VNU Europe portfolio to ensure that the message is clearly and widely understood by the target audience, worldwide;
  • You are creative and data-driven, you have an eye for quality, like to try something new and go for the best result;
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a marketeer within a B2B environment;
  • Experience with a broad marketing mix with an affinity for press, digital and data;
  • Good project management skills and experience working with external suppliers;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for content creation and presentation as well as stakeholder management;
  • Experience with network building and creating partnerships;
  • Experience with data-driven work (GA, marketing automation).
