What you will do
As sales manager new business for VIV Select India you are the sales lead for VIV Select India. It is your mission to identlfy and develop new business opportunities in the Indian livestock and protein market. Working from our Utrecht office in a dynamic, international environment, you will play a strategic and leading role in launching and growing the new VIV trade show edition in India on the long term.
This role suits you well, because you get energy from creating something from scratch. You actively map and analyze the market, identify potential partners and exhibitors, and you are confident in opening doors and building relationships with key players in India.
From the very first contact to deal closure: you own this and this is what you like to do. You are a self-starter with a nose for potential business and the commercial skills to bring it to life.
About VIV
VIV is the flagship event of VNU Europe Exhibitions, the international branch of Royal Jaarbeurs. It serves the global livestock farming and protein production industry and is a recognized leader in internatinonal agrifood trade shows.
Our portfolio includes VIV Europe, VIV Asia, VIV MEA, VIV Africa, and the national editions like VIV Select China, VIV Select Türkiye and the recently launched VIV Select India. You can find a full overview of the portfolio on the website.
You’ll be at the forefront of developing this new market with the full support of an experienced international team. You are working on the launch of our newest Feed to Food trade show in New Delhi in April 2026.
The VNU team in Utrecht consists of 15 colleagues, and is an international, multicultural, and dynamic team, where the business language is English.

Job requirements
What you bring
A medior to high professional education level
At least 3 years of commercial experience, with a strong background in business development and lead generation
Proven ability to independently spot and pursue new commercial opportunities
A proactive mindset and you thrive in customer focus, pursuasivness, result-driven thinking and you have a strong commercial drive
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel occasionally
You live in the Netherlands and are available to come to the Utrecht office 4-5 days a week
Experience in exhibition sales or knowledge of international agribusiness or nutrition is a plus

What we offer
A monthly salary between €3.940 up to €5.060 (Styr level 8) based on 40 hours per week, depending on your experience
8% holiday allowance and a pension contribution
27 vacation days per year based on a 40-hour workweek, with the option to purchase additional days
A collective company success bonus (max. 5%) when annual targets are met
Participation in the commission scheme (1 month’s salary at OTE, max. 2.5 months’ salary)
A sustainable mobility plan: reimbursement of public transport up to 50 km (one way), bicycle allowance, and option to lease a bike
