Your new job
You will work in an international multicultural and dynamic team, located near the historic center of Utrecht, between Utrecht Centraal and Jaarbeurs. You are flexible to travel abroad when needed. Together with the team you will provide the best brand and event experience for visitors and exhibitors. You are part of the VNU team and work closely with the Senior Brand & Communication Manager. In Utrecht you are part of the project team of 12 colleagues, where you coordinate marketing and communication activities. The department works closely with an established network of freelancers. You will also work closely with the team based in the VNU Bangkok office.
This is what you like to do
Creating customized original content and bringing new and fresh content ideas
Creating content for emails, press releases and editorials
Managing press relations, planning around press releases and managing the daily work on the following channels: email, websites and on social media platforms
You will be involved in media engagements and setting up agreements with media partners, evaluating media deals and researching new media outlets to promote our events
Working effectively in a team, especially with designers, media partners and event managers, to ensure on time deliverables and cohesive content strategy
Job requirements
What are you bringing?
Fluent in English with 3 to 5 years of experience crafting diverse content, including email campaigns, web content, and press releases. A strong emphasis on creating compelling, persuasive content is essential. Providing a sample of an original article is a plus
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines
Skilled in negotiating with media partners to secure favorable deals. Ability to analyze and assess media campaign performance, with experience using analytical tools to measure campaign effectiveness
In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and search engines and a strong understanding of how to utilize them effectively

A salary between €3.130 and €3.750 based on 40 hours per week, depending on your experience
